My old dog used to limp after naps on his flat mat, but he gets up easy now thanks to the orthopaedic foam base. Zipper cover comes off for washing, which matters with a muddy-pawed lab.
My senior dog finally sleeps through the night on this bed—the orthopaedic base gives her hips real support, and the removable faux fur cover is so soft I've caught myself petting it more than her. Worth every penny.
The faux fur cover is genuinely soft and my dog took to it on the first night. Only gripe is the chocolate shade shows every bit of light hair he sheds.
